Playing with rice
Aidan tried some sensory play yesterday afternoon! I got out some colored rice that was intended for school, but hasn't quite made it there, and Aidan had some fun! By the end he realized that if he dropped it on the floor it scattered and made a really neat sound ;)

So I can do this on my phone...
It's been awhile. A long, long while. So my phone is now smart enough to blog, and most of my pictures are on my phone anyway... So I'm trying this from my phone.
Here's some new stuff:

8 months
Our baby boy is 8 months old today! Aidan is crawling like crazy! He loves to hold our fingers and walk around the house, and he has started to use his little walk-behind toy, but he whimpers the whole time he is walking because he is scared of falling. He loves to eat food with his fingers, and he is a big fan of Cheerios and Gerber Cheese Puffs. Aidan has been going to bed at about 7:00/7:30 every night and waking up between 5:00 and 6:30 in the morning.
Aidan has become very good at pulling himself up, but he's not so good about sitting himself back down :) He is beginning to get clingy with Mike and I when we get home from work, and I think it is just because he misses us.
Aidan has been staying home for the last two weeks from daycare with my mom. My mom is determined to get him saying "Grandma" before she leaves, and he has the /g/ sound pretty good... but I think this is just coincidence.... He is still not even close to saying "Mama"...
In January, we started daycare at a new home. Aidan had been going to Andria since he was 10 weeks old, but before Christmas break, they moved to the Iowa City area... We were so sad to leave her, Andria was absolutely wonderful! She put this new Mama's mind at ease because she took such great care of him! Now, I feel so lucky to have found a second daycare provider who we just love as well! Aidan is now going to Susie's house during the day, and he just loves it there too! I honestly feel so blessed to have had 2 great people caring for Aidan while we are at work :)
And yesterday, I learned that the school board approved my position for a contract--which is AMAZING! It has been a long wait, but I love my job, so I stuck with it :)
Enjoy some pictures of Aidan :)

Entner Thanksgiving
Over Thanksgiving weekend, we went up to Clear Lake to visit Grandma and Grandpa Entner and Great Grandma Phyllis. We had a delicious lunch, and we opened a few Christmas presents because Tim and Sue were getting ready to leave for Texas in December :)
Aidan had his first ever visit to Santa Claus at the little house by the lake. He didn't even cry--I think it is because he is used to guys with beards :)

Back Blogging
I am going to attempt to catch up on my blogging in the coming weeks--I have tons of pictures of Christmas and everyday life to post... so I am going to start "Back Blogging" as far back as Thanksgiving. I got busy, then behind, then I just got overwhelmed by how far behind I was, so I didn't know where to start... then I just had to remind myself why I started the blog--to help document our memories. I am always taking pictures, so now I just need to post the pictures and write about the memories before I forget them :) Even if it means I have to back-track our lives a bit. So here goes.

5 months!?!? Already!?!?
HOLY CATS! Life has been busy! I have not blogged in quite a while...
So Aidan is 5 months old, and in my opinion, the CUTEST kid in the world! So here's some pictures to prove it:
Eating some peas--yum yum! Mom's a good cook :)
Laughing at Dad
Really? Another picture, Mom?
Loves the exersaucer!
Notice his feet--he loves to lay on his tummy and kick his little feet. He's trying to figure out how to get the toy :) Still hasn't figured it out yet....
LOVES the kitties--he smiles SO big when he sees them. The kitties, not so much.
With Grandma.
Loves the sweet potatoes!
Sucks his toes all the time--here he is "double footing" it.
First bandaid--Mom got him with the fingernail clippers :(
Loves rice!
Again with the toes--this time he is watching his planet mobile.
At the pumpkin patch with the Gries family.

Laughing
Aidan just started laughing out loud last weekend, and I finally got it on video this morning. He thinks clapping his feet and pretending his feet are eating him is hilarious! The things we do for a laugh :)
