Basement demo
Aidan has been "helping" us demo the basement for our remodel project. He mostly walks around hitting different things with hammers, but he seems to really enjoy it! This is how we spent our Friday night:

Potty in the Toilet!
I know I haven't blogged much lately, but we had a milestone today: Aidan went potty in the toilet on purpose!
He had been interested in the potty lately, and last week in the bathtub he discovered that he can control making himself pee (TMI, I know, but he has become fascinated with it!). So, this led to him wanting to make himself go potty anytime he had his diaper off: on the changing table, on the rug before baths, and while standing in the bath. Tonight as I was changing him to get ready for bed, he made himself potty on the changing table again, so I took him in the bathroom, and he went on the toilet!! I am so happy,! It may not happen regularly for a long time, but this is wonderful progress!

Playing in the Snow!
Saturday, we took Aidan out to play in the snow for the first time! We got him all bundled, and he could barely move in the boots and snow pants, but he absolutely LOVED it! He loves being outside!

Halloween
This year we took Aidan trick or treating for the first time. He was a star belly Sneech from the Dr. Seuss books--it's one of his favorite stories! The costume was homemade ;) The Friday before Halloween we went Trick or Treating on Main Street in Nevada, and it was a semi-disaster. It started at 5:00, so we didn't feed him dinner before we went--bad idea. He was pretty crabby, and we even had to stop at Subway to feed him dinner in the middle of it.
Trick or treating night went better. Grandma and grandpa Schimmel brought Aidan a bag of treats, then we went out in the neighborhood. It wasn't bitterly cold, but it was still pretty chilly. Aidan kept taking his mittens off, so we didn't last long. We went down our street and around one block and then headed home. It wasn't long, but Aidan enjoyed it! He really got the hang of grabbing candy and putting it in his bucket :)

Weekend in Harlan
Last weekend we made a trip to Harlan to celebrate Ashton's 4th birthday! Saturday Aidan had lots of fun playing with Ashton and Brayson. He played trains and LOVED them (so there may be some trains under the Christmas tree this year :) ). He also learned to crunch leaves!
Sunday was not so great... He woke up and began puking soon after. He puked many times on Mike and me while we were in Harlan, but luckily he slept the whole way home and didn't puke anymore after that.
Here are some pictures from the weekend:

Apple Orchard
We took Aidan to the Apple Orchard this afternoon, and he had a lot of fun! We got to play in some corn, see some animals, run through a covered tunnel (which was Aidan's favorite!), and eat a picnic lunch--that included what Mike called a failure of a sandwich because it was just ham and bread, nothing else ;) Grandma, Jenny, and Kaylen met us there. Here are some pictures:
